More jobs are on the line at insurance giant IAG, as it looks to automate some jobs and move others overseas to boost efficiency.
IAG employs around 3500 staff in New Zealand, and owns the State, AMI and NZI brands.
An IAG spokesperson said employees have been notified of the changes, but the number of positions under threat is not known.
"It's too early to say what any changes might look like. We're reviewing different areas across our business and brands to see which processes or activities could be best performed by these offshore partners," the spokesperson said.
It is believed IAG is looking at moving some call centre jobs to lower-cost Asian call centres.
