A New Zealand inventor has unveiled a submarine, which he hopes will be in hot demand with super yacht owners around the world.
The Q Sub costs around US$1 million and takes the title as the fastest small submarine in the world.
The story behind designer and inventor Hugh Fulton is one of the typical Kiwi attitude and determination to turn a dream into a reality.
The sub weights 3.5 tonnes and is able to reach depths of around 120 metres. Unlike anything else on the market, it can reach speeds of up to 20 knots.
Unveiled this morning for the first time at the New Zealand Boat Show, the submarine is likely to attract a lot of attention.
Mr Fulton plans to sell it to a local market as well as offshore.
