It's the announcement that will have mums all around the country gearing up for a big night out -- Keith Urban is heading home to New Zealand.
The New Zealand-born country musician is bringing his ripCORD World Tour to Wellington’s Westpac Stadium on Saturday, December 3, accompanied by former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.
Urban says he can't wait to get back to his roots.
"I'm so psyched about finally getting to play a real show in the country of my birth. The last time I played music there, I was in a duo playing every weekend at a pub called the DB Onerahi in Whangarei... and I was 17. This is gonna be an amazing feeling!"
The ripCORD Tour is Urban's first worldwide show in almost three years, and fans are told they can expect a state-of-the-art stage production, stinging guitar solos and in-audience performances, along with all of Urban's hits.
The Visa Entertainment pre-sale tickets for cardholders start at 9am on June 22, via its website. Tickets for the general public will be made available via Ticketek's website from 12pm on Friday June 24.
