Kim Dotcom, co-founder of file sharing website Megaupload and currently remanded in custody, is ranked as the number one Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 player in the world.
Dotcom, who was born Kim Schmitz, is accused of racketeering, money laundering and internet copyright piracy in the United States amounting to US$175 million in criminal proceeds. He was arrested in Auckland on Friday.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 broke several sales and online player records when it was released in November last year.
Playing with the username ‘Megaracer’, Dotcom has racked up more than 185,000 in-game kills on his Xbox 360.
In a video Dotcom posted on the internet he plays for over seven hours straight, at the end of which he holds the top spot on the MW3 leaderboard.
According to the Call of Duty Elite service, Dotcom has 185,353 kills after a mammoth 707 hours playing time. He spent 702 of those hours in free-for-all mode.
Dotcom favours sub-machine guns, especially the MP7 and PP90M1 with the rapid-fire perk. 39,000 of his kills were made with the MP7 and 2,235 of those kills were headshots.
As far as killstreaks go, Dotcom almost always uses the Assault classes, with his most used rewards being UAV, Predator missile and attack helicopter. He also has a high number of kills from the use of claymores and C4.
More than $17 million worth of assets were seized from Dotcom's home by police, including two pistols.
In the North Shore District Court on Monday afternoon Judge David McNaughton reserved his decision on bail for Dotcom until Wednesday at the latest.
