Actress Ricki Lake's new TV talk show has been cancelled after just one season.
Lake spent 11 years on air with her self-titled daytime chat show before it was axed in 2004, but she returned to the small screen last autumn as the host of the The Ricki Lake Show.
But the new show was destined to be short-lived - it has been axed by TV bosses due to low ratings.
Hairspray star Lake, 44, doesn't appear to have any hard feelings about the cancellation; a statement from her reads: "I am so proud of the shows we completed this season, sparking important conversations about everything from raising children to mental illness to suicide prevention to coming out.
"I will continue to be an active and passionate voice for subjects that are close to my heart through a variety of platforms."
