Sandra Bullock was so shaken by an intruder breaking into her home last month that she's ready to leave Hollywood permanently, according to reports.
The Gravity actress came face to face with alleged trespasser Joshua James Corbett after he scaled a barbed wire fence. He has since pleaded not guilty to the allegation, but was then charged with 19 felony counts of possessing heavy weapons after police found guns at his home while searching it.
Now the National Enquirer has claimed that a search warrant they have been able to obtain shows that Joshua was armed with deadly weapons - including a machine gun - when he entered Sandra's US$23 million home.
"Finding out Corbett had a machine gun filled Sandra with dread," a friend told the publication. "She wants out – now!"
The 49-year-old was asleep in her bedroom when Joshua allegedly entered her home on June 8. The Oscar winner was awoken by loud bangs which she thought were coming from her workout room window on the third floor.
"The banging appeared to get louder and sounded like it was coming from her living room this time," the source continued. "She then feared for her safety, closed and locked her door to her bedroom and called 911."
Sandra lives with her son Louis, who she adopted in 2010. The brunette beauty has a number of security measures in place to protect herself and her little boy, and is reportedly finding it hard to understand how an armed intruder was able to break in.
"Sandra couldn't believe the guy was able to get into her house. She has 12-foot-high fences topped by barbed wire and state-of-the-art surveillance," the source added.
The actress also has homes in New Orleans and Austin, Texas, and the insider claims that she now plans to get away from Hollywood and make the latter her main residence.
"This horrifying ordeal was too close for comfort!" they added.
