Much-loved media personalities Jono and Ben have tried to "break the world record" with their own version of the mannequin challenge at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards (VNZMAs).
The internet craze has gone viral, and consists of each person getting into a funny position, usually pretending to be frozen mid-action, and staying motionless as someone films them.
At Vector Arena during Thursday night's VNZMA ceremony, the thousands gathered in the audience were urged to get involved in the challenge.
"Up the top, we're talking about the waiters, we're talking about the bar staff - everyone in this room has got to freeze," Jono said.
"No one in this room is too important for this," Ben agreed.
When the mannequin challenge attempt finally did get underway, however, it was to mixed success.
Most attendees were able to stay still as they posed in a variety of positions - but one person was spotted pulling the finger and a photographer was caught moving right in front of the camera.
