Chicago hip hop artist Chance the Rapper says he's moving to New Zealand in the next 15 years, after playing his first-ever gig here at Rhythm and Vines festival last night.
The rapper gained major attention after the release of his second album Acid Rap, and he built on his fame this year with the release of the Coloring Book.
In a series of tweets on Friday morning he said he's loved spending time in New Zealand and will be moving here and "bringing some black people". He's also going to bring his mum.
"This tweet is a very serious statement without any humor behibd it. Black people we are moving to New Zealand [sic]", he said and then linked to a currency conversion website.
During his performance on Thursday night, Chance said he'd also like to find a nice Kiwi girlfriend and get himself a German shepherd.
Chance is currently on his world tour and will head to Australia to perform at Beyond the Valley festival on Friday night, and a series of shows in Australia.
