A businessman is suing Uber for $70 million after a technical fault helped his wife catch him cheating on her.
The man from the French Riviera had signed in to his Uber account on his wife's phone, and a glitch meant that she continued receiving information after he had signed out.
She was then able to keep tabs on his movements, without knowing his exact location, and she suspected that he was up to no good.
He's now suing Uber for 45 million euros with a first hearing scheduled next month. He blames the technical flaw with the ride-sharing app as a factor in his divorce.
When contacted by French newspaper Le Figaro, an Uber France spokesman declined to comment on the technical flaw and said "Uber does not publicly comment on individual cases, including the case of divorce proceedings between spouses."
Le Figaro reported that the fault applies to some iPhone iOS versions prior to a recent December 15 update.
