Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has released the debut song from his first new album in 25 years.
'Smell the Roses' is the first single from Is This the Life We Really Want?, produced by longtime Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich.
The album is an "unflinching commentary on the modern world and uncertain times", according to Waters.
'Smell the Roses' isn't a huge departure from the 'Money' hitmaker's work in Pink Floyd, sounding like it could have comfortably slotted into The Wall or Wish You Were Here.
The album's said to be about love, with Waters last year describing it as "part magic carpet ride, part political rant, part anguish".
Is This the Life We Really Want? is scheduled for release on June 2.
Waters wrote most of Pink Floyd's material, before leaving the band in the mid-1980s.
He has a 40-date American tour booked this year, where he's promised to play 75 percent old material, and 25 percent new.
It's been a quarter-century since 1992's Amused to Death, Waters' last rock album. In 2005 he released an opera, Ca Ira.
In the past decade Waters concentrated on touring. His tour The Wall Live featured 219 shows over four years, and is the highest-grossing ever by a solo artist.
