Polly Gillespie and Grant Kereama are back.
The popular radio duo will launch their new show Rova All Day Breakfast with Polly & Grant on Monday, July 3, at 6am.
"You dream of being able to do the ultimate radio show - the one where you can do what you want, play what you want to play, love the music, get completely creative," the pair said in a statement.
"It seemed like an impossible crazy dream… but it's happening and we can't wait for our fans to hear it!"
The ex-partners used to host a morning show together on NZME station The Hits, but were dropped in December in favour of TVNZ broadcasters Sam Wallace and Toni Street. They declined to renew their contract, which ended in March.
At the time Polly said NZME made a "generous and lucrative contract", but placed restrictions on what she could post on social media, so she turned it down.
The new show, MediaWorks says, will be "different to anything that has been done in New Zealand before".
"It's Polly and Grant whenever you want, wherever you are and will be available on channel 0 on the Rova app from 6am Monday, July 3," the company said in a statement.
"The new morning show will premiere from 6am weekdays and then be available, for the rest of the day so you can sleep in and still never miss the show."
Rova is an app for Android and Apple devices that lets users listen to Media Works' radio stations with ease.
Polly and Grant will also join More FM's Saturday breakfast show, starting from July 1.
"We are really excited to welcome Polly and Grant to MediaWorks and have them reconnect with their nationwide audience and fans through rova and More FM," MediaWorks group content director Leon Wratt said.
