Once again, the comedy industry has proven to be a boy's club.
Luckily, Amy Schumer is here to shake that up. For the second year running she's the only female comedian to be listed on Forbes' annual ranking of the highest earning comedians worldwide.
On Thursday (local time), the magazine released this year's ranking and revealed that, while the Trainwreck actress once again made the cut, she dropped one spot to come in at fifth on the list. However, she made US$20 million more this year at US$37.5 million.
Jerry Seinfeld returned to the top spot on the list with an income of US$69m over the last year. Chris Rock, Louis CK and Dave Chappelle all also made the list.
Forbes reports that Netflix has changed the comedy economy for the stars with over 50 percent of Louis CK's $52 million coming from his two Netflix specials, as well as over 30 percent of the US$37.5 million tally of Schumer from her Leather Special.
