It was the first time the pair has seen each other since season one and much has happened since that time, including the brutal murders of most of their other family members.
Sansa herself has been brutalised and endured two awful marriages - firstly to a Lannister, then to the monstrous Ramsay Snow.
Bran, meanwhile, has to try to explain to his sister that he's become the three-eyed raven and all the unimaginable powers that has brought him.
Awkwardness ensues.
When Sansa and Jon finally reunited last season, it was emotionally very satisfying - but Bran's extreme new abilities appear to have robbed him of most of his emotions, making this latest reunion far more weird and uncomfortable.
