Following news that Justin Bieber had quit his world tour partway through, reports are circulating that the reason is so he can start his own church.
The 'Baby' hitmaker abandoned the remaining dates of his Purpose tour for "unforeseen circumstances", but an 'inside source' has told media it's so he can focus on his faith.
"I am led to believe that the real reason he has come off the road is because he wants to reconnect with his faith and may be even planning to start his own church," entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins said on Australia's Channel 9.
"We know that he was in the country a few weeks ago, having meetings and attending the big Hillsong convention that they had here. [He's] very close to a lot of the Hillsong people."
Bieber has a long history of Christianity, previously stating publicly that he believes Jesus died on a cross for his sins, homosexuality is a choice and abortion is wrong.
In December, Bieber paused a concert in the UK to tell the audience that photo-sharing service Instagram was "Hell" and "for the Devil".
