A chilling trailer has just been released for a film which chronicles the teenage years of one of history's most notorious serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer.
My Friend Dahmer is an adaptation of the popular 2012 graphic novel by John 'Derf' Backderf, who was friends with the future serial killer when they were teenagers in Ohio.
Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, went on to rape, murder and brutalise 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
My Friend Dahmer promises to be an extremely creepy look at the man as a shy, alcoholic teenager who faces typical school troubles, but also stalks a jogger and even seeks medical help for his troubled thoughts.
My Friend Dahmer is currently playing at the 2017 New Zealand International Film Festival.
