Alex Garland's directorial follow-up to Ex Machina has been teased with a trailer that looks stunning and surreal.
Annihilation follows Natalie Portman as the head of a group of female scientists who venture into an environmental disaster zone in order to save her husband, played by Oscar Isaac.
Things don't go well, according to this intense clip.
Garland, who wrote the likes of The Beach, 28 Days Later and Dredd before moving into directing, has said he felt compelled to do Annihilation after reading the Jeff VanderMeer novel.
"I found the atmosphere incredibly strong and I liked the kind of dream state that it created and put me in," he told Entertainment Weekly.
"It had all sorts of qualities that I found really interesting. I thought immediately, Yes, I'd like to try this."
Annihilation will be released in February, 2018.
