A joke by Jemaine Clement comparing Donald Trump to the NZ election 'Orange Guy' is proving a hit on Twitter, quickly racking up thousands of likes.

The Flight of the Conchords star made the joke after US comedian and BoJack Horseman star Paul F Tompkins took to Twitter to 'reveal' the mascot.
"Hey rest of the world: Did you know that New Zealand has a weird citrus golem as a voting mascot? They tried to hide it from us," tweeted Tompkins.
"You have a weird citrus golem as a president," replied Clement.
Among the dozens of animated gifs that came in reply was a suggestion that the former Celebrity Apprentice host actually is the election Orange Guy, complete with a mocked-up image.
It's not only comedians retweeting and liking Clement's post - Hend Amry, a famed Libyan-American activist dubbed the 'Queen of Muslim Twitter', was especially tickled by it and has even pinned a screenshot to her account.
Clement's use of Twitter made headlines previously this year when he had an online feud with Happy Days star Scott Baio, also centred around President Trump.
