After months of negotiations, Patty Jenkins is officially returning to direct the Wonder Woman sequel, which will make her the highest paid female director of all time.

The Hollywood Reporter reports the deal is "precedent-setting", adding that the negotiations leading to it were reportedly "challenging."
Wonder Woman pulled in US$103 million (NZ$140 million) at the North American box office on opening weekend, with its global haul so far sitting at US$816 million (NZ$1.1 billion).
Despite the record-breaking success, rumours of Jenkins' negotiations with Warner Brothers have been circulating for months.
While Jenkins' pay has not been revealed, the figure is reportedly around the US$8 million range to write, direct and produce.
The sequel is set to be released in December 2019, with Israeli actor Gal Gadot reprising her role of Diana Prince / Wonder Woman.
Jenkins told Newshub earlier this year that the first film wasn't just a superhero movie, it was a message to Hollywood.
"I do feel the 'nobody thought she could succeed', and now I think 'let's show the world that's wrong, let's show the world that's not true' - you were wrong about Wonder Woman, maybe you were wrong about women leading a film."
