George Clooney had an eventful interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night (local time), teasing a big surprise for everyone in the audience, and Kimmel himself.
When asked if his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, was looking after their newborn twins, Ella and Alexander, 56-year-old Clooney replied "the twins are here".
He asked the excited audience if they would like to see the twins, before summoning his "manny" onto the stage - Bourne franchise actor Matt Damon.
Kimmel, who has a long running faux feud with the actor, was particularly unimpressed with the interruption, telling everyone, "They're cheering for the babies, not for this person."
Damon, pushing a double stroller and with a nappy bag on his shoulder, announced that he was Clooney's "manny" - a male nanny. He and Kimmel then exchanged a few barbs, with Kimmel retorting, "You're not a man," to which Damon said, "That's not what your wife said."
Finally Damon presented Clooney's "twins", but it was really two middle fingers for the talk show host.
"There they are, right there… This is 'screw', and this is 'you'. Screw you."
Clooney is famous for pranking his co-stars on set, and revealed to People magazine that he's already passing his talents on to the twins.
"When you're directing, you're busy. When you're acting, you've got a lot of time and you can do all kinds of horrible things," Clooney said.
"I'm already trying to teach my children dirty tricks, like the peanut butter on the tennis shoe move. You walk into a party with peanut butter on your tennis shoe, and you look around and ask anybody if it smells like crap, and then you reach down and you actually taste the peanut butter off of your shoe with your finger. That will really throw people up. That's a rough one."
