An arrest warrant has been issued for actress Rose McGowan, after personal belongings left on a United Airlines flight allegedly tested positive for drugs, but she's labelling the allegations "a load of horseshit".
The charges stem from an incident on January 20, when the Charmed actress left an unspecified possession on a flight at Washington airport. Deadline reports it was seized by police and an investigation found the items tested positive for narcotics.
Washington Airports police spokesperson Rob Yingling told Radar Online that "a warrant was entered into the system".
"Police have made efforts to reach out to Ms McGowan through her representatives to make her aware of the warrant."
MGowan has responded angrily to the arrest warrant, tweeting on Monday (local time): "Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSESHIT."
She also retweeted from writer Ashlee Marie Preston, saying: "If @@rosemcgowan would have taken that million dollars in hush money I'm quite sure this wouldn't even be a headline..."
McGowan captioned her retweet "FACT".
McGowan has been one of the main women leading the charge against disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein and his alleged history of sexual misconduct. The star claims she was raped by Weinstein in the 1990s, one of the allegations that prompted more than 60 women to expose Weinstein's years of abuse.
