Larry David and Bernie Sanders may look and sound like they were separated at birth and as it turns out, they practically were.
The 70-year-old Curb Your Enthusiasm star and the 76-year-old US senator are the latest celebrities to appear on TV show Finding Your Roots, which found a DNA link between them.
David won acclaim for his portrayal of Sanders on Saturday Night Live (SNL), which makes sense after the discovery that they're distant cousins - which absolutely delighted both men.
"You're kidding! Oh my God!" exclaims Sanders in the video.
"People say to me, you know, they talk about Larry David. And I say, he does a better Bernie Sanders than I do!"
"What the hell? That's so funny, that is really funny. That's amazing," says David.
A DNA link has not yet been found between Donald Trump and the comedian who plays him on SNL, Alec Baldwin, but that pair has yet to star on Finding Your Roots.
The fourth season of the TV show premiered in the US this week.
