A Hollywood actress has been accused of becoming caught up in a sinister sex cult, and has reportedly recruited as many as 25 new women.
Smallville star Allison Mack has been "brainwashed" by US-based NXIVM, former spokesman for the group Frank Parlato told Sun Online.
NXIVM, founded by Keith Raniere, brands itself as a "self-help" organisation, but former members have previously claimed it's a cult.
Last month the New York Times revealed a secret sorority complex within the group. Former members have claimed they're forcibly branded and ordered to follow 24-hour commands, which includes 12-hours of starvation daily, reports say.
Mr Parlato provided Sun Online with screenshots showing both the skin-branding, which appears to be of the initials AM and KR, as well as emails of "collateral" - supposedly incriminating information submitted by the members to prove their dedication and trust.
Mack, who has mostly quit acting, is reportedly the highest-ranking female within the group. She told the Daily Mail she is "not taking press inquiries at this time".
In a previous statement NXIVM said the cult allegations are "lies" built on sources who are "under criminal investigation or already indicted".
