As news of the latest royal engagement rang out through the land, countless eyes darted from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's beaming smiles to the shiny rocks on her ring finger.
The stunning piece of jewellery on the actress' left hand was reportedly designed by the prince himself and is comprised of diamonds very close to his heart.

Markle's ring is said to include two diamonds taken from Harry's mother Princess Diana's personal collection, while in between them sits is a larger stone from Botswana - a place the prince has visited since he was a child.
The diamonds are set on a classic gold band.
The ring was made by Cleave and Company, court jewellers and medallists to Queen Elizabeth II, reports People.
Harry and Markle met in July 2016 after they were introduced through friends.
Their wedding will take place this (northern) spring.
