Legendary Nintendo game Mario Kart is heading to smartphones everywhere and fans are pumped.
Mario Kart Tour could soon be joining the likes of Candy Crush, Angry Birds and Clash of Clans as one of the most popular mobile games ever - or it could be a giant flop, like the Wii U.
"The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near," Nintendo stated in a tweet.
"A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour! #MarioKartTour Releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019."
No further details are known at this stage, but the announcement has been enough to get Mario fans very excited.
Nintendo is likely to have more mobile games on the way.
The Japanese company had planned to release five smartphone games by 2017, but only Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and the Miitomo social app have been released so far.
Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported that Nintendo was working on a Legend of Zelda mobile title.
