Gwyneth Paltrow has referred to her ex-husband Chris Martin as "brother" while wishing him happy birthday.
Paltrow and Martin have two children together, Apple and Moses, and have remained friends after what they termed their "conscious uncoupling" in 2014.
"Happy birthday my brother, thank you for giving me these two," she wrote on Instagram alongside a snap of the family of four.
It's not the first time Paltrow has referred to the Coldplay star as her "brother".
In an interview with Stephen Colbert in January she told the host Martin is "really like my brother, we're really familial", according to women's interests website The Cut.
Paltrow is engaged to Brad Falchuk, a producer and writer known for being a co-creator of Glee and American Horror Story.
