Love is dead and everything is wrong.
Magic Mike star Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum have announced they are splitting after eight years of marriage.
The couple both shared the news on social media, saying they had "lovingly chosen to separate as a couple".
"Hey world! So... We have something we would like to share," the statement began.
"First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it's a consequence of the lives we've chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for... We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple.
"We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now."
The pair also said they were still friends, and were splitting to "take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible".
The couple first met on the set of their 2006 movie Step Up and began dating shortly after before tying the knot in 2009.
Rumours of a split began swirling when Dewan Tatum attended the annual Vanity Fair Oscars after-party solo, but she told Entertainment Tonight that Tatum was on "daddy duty" and "so happy to have a night off".
The couple, both 37, have a four-year-old daughter, Everly.
