STA travel is offering Auckland to London return flights for under a grand.
The flights with Philippine Airlines via Cairns and Manila cost only $979 per person, including taxes and fees.
"Flying to London is often the beginning of the trip of a lifetime, and for many travellers the gateway to a European adventure!" STA Travel says on its website.
The flights need to be booked before March 24, 2017 - or before the tickets run out - and you need to travel between September 8 and November 17, 2017.
In February, China Southern Airlines offered return fares to London for less than $1100.
The drop in price is evidence of the fierce battles between airlines as they compete for passengers.
