Air New Zealand has released a series of incredibly low airfare deals that will arouse the interest of both the international and domestic traveller.
Highlights from the Grabaseat deals are $19 one-way flights between Auckland and Taupo, Christchurch and Hokitika, and Auckland and Tauranga - but Air New Zealand's international airfares are what will really set tongues a-wagging.
The airline is offering return flights to Hawaii for just $492 - and return tickets to Rarotonga ($370), Tahiti ($449), Tonga ($362) and a number of cities in Australia are extraordinarily cheap too.
However, there's a catch - none of the deals have more than 40 tickets available on the flights and they're all restricted by narrow travel windows - so there's a good chance by the time you read this they're all gone.
Cheap flights were also available between Auckland and Buenos Aires ($899 return) and Auckland to Los Angeles and Houston ($848 return and $898 respectively).
International travel costs have fallen to record lows in recent times, with STA Travel offering return flights to London earlier this year for $979 per person.
Air NZ's after-tax profits lifted to a record high of $463 million last year.
