There's a 'room' going in one of Auckland's most sought after central suburbs, and for only $99 a week.
It sounds like an absolute steal considering the city's rental prices have risen 4 percent in the past year, but there is a catch - it's a not actually a room, but a minivan.
It looks like a 1990s Toyota Estima, and is parked on a Sandringham property, its Trade Me listing appears to show.
"We are looking for a flatmate to live in the caravan," the Trade Me description says.
"Nice and tidy caravan with a small kitchen sink. There is a cupboard for storage too. You will need to come inside to use the bathroom/toilet and we have washing machine available too.
"We are looking for someone that is fairly independent and enjoys their own space but you are certainly be welcome to use the main kitchen."
The description says smokers are okay, but no pets are allowed. It says there are four existing flatmates, assumed to be living in the house on the property.
Attractions include Countdown, McDonalds, "and bus stops are 1 minute drive," the listing says.
It's had an official complaint, but Trade Me says the listing won't be taken down as it meets the auction website's guidelines, NZME reports.
The contact number in the listing led to an "invalid" notice when dialled.
