In good news for vegans and the lactose intolerant, Cornetto is preparing to launch dairy-free versions of their iconic cones in the UK.
What has become known as the "vegan Cornetto" will consist of soya-based ice cream dipped in vegan chocolate, reports Metro.co.uk. The cone will be gluten-free.

British supermarket chain Sainsbury's will stock the ice creams from February 2018.
The Cornetto Veggy was launched in Italy in early 2017, where it became very popular. Cornetto also developed gluten-free versions of the ice creams.
Dairy-free desserts are growing in popularity across the world. Last week ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's added two new vegan flavours to their line - Peanut Butter Half Baked and Cinnamon Buns.
Both flavours are made with an almond milk base.
There is no word yet as to whether the vegan Cornettos will one day be available in New Zealand.
