The grandmother of an eight-month-old Bay of Plenty boy who died after being left in a hot car has been found guilty of manslaughter.
Donna Catherine Parangi was on trial for Isaiah Neil's November 2015 death at the High Court in Rotorua. On Tuesday, she was found guilty by a jury.
Isaiah's parents have already pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
The court earlier heard how Isaiah died at his grandparents' house in the Bay of Plenty town of Ruatoki.
He was found by his father after several hours inside the vehicle, and brought inside and put to bed around 4pm.
His lifeless body was found around 6:30pm, and a paramedic's attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
Parangi had been smoking synthetic drugs at the time.
