A drone has been confiscated by police investigating the fatal shooting in Northland.
The device was being used by two reporters to fly above the Whangarei Heads property where two people were shot dead yesterday.
The NZME reporters were questioned by police before the drone was taken from them.
The house at the centre of the shooting burned to the ground with the gunman inside, following a day-long standoff.
Police are aware of the identity of the shooter, and say it was very unlikely he survived.
