A west Auckland pastor has delivered a scathing sermon against women's rights.
Logan Robertson from Westcity Bible Baptist Church says women should not be allowed to vote, does not let his wife vote and calls it "a curse for a nation to have a woman ruling over them".
"I sure wouldn't be voting for that new Labour lady... she needs to shut up and go home and get in the kitchen where women belong and bake a cake for her boyfriend."
WestCity has no association with the Baptist denomination of New Zealand.
In another recent video Robertson calls for gay people to be shot.
"I'm not against them getting married as long as a bullet goes through their head the moment they kiss.
"But we've got Christians that would rather side with them, side with their little fag cousin or brother or whoever it is."
Reverend Helen Jacobi, vicar of Auckland's St Matthew in the City, told NZME was "inciting violence, verging on hate speech and verging on criminal behaviour".
But Robertson says if people perceive his comments as hate-speech that's "fine".
Robertson had only four or five people in his congregation three years ago. It is not known how many he has now.
