If you're on a benefit but your family lends you money then the Ministry of Social Development argues your benefit should then be cut off.
They made the argument today in a landmark case in the Auckland High Court which centres around whether a mother, referred to as Ms X, should have been allowed to borrow money while still on a benefit.
