A woman in her 30s was found dead in a house in Christchurch overnight, police say.
They were called to an address on Charnwood Crescent in the northern suburb of Bishopdale at around 2:40am, and found her dead on their arrival.
Police have secured the area surrounding the house.
A scene examination is currently underway, but the death at this stage is being treated as "unexplained".
The Coroner has been notified.
