The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) has released footage of a Norwegian sailor being rescued from the sea.
Harald Solfjeld was rescued on Sunday by the container ship Southern Lily after running into trouble on his boat the Ilanga.
Mr Solfjeld sent out a distress call on Saturday afternoon after a storm damaged the rigging on his boat.
He spent the night on the boat before being rescued.
He was found after 5pm on Sunday around 140 nautical miles northeast of Cape Brett.
A Royal New Zealand Air Force P-3K2 Orion was involved in the search for Mr Solfjeld and was able to capture video of the rescue.
The footage shows Mr Solfjeld being winched aboard the boat from rough seas as a crew member hangs from a rope ladder to help him.
