As Jacinda Ardern announced her pregnancy to the world today there was one other couple waiting for the right time to announce their happy news.
The Project's Josh Thomson was planning on an elaborate announcement of his wife's pregnancy but said on the show his thunder was well and truly stolen by the Prime Minister's news.

"I too was very happy to hear that the Prime Minister and her partner are expecting but there's a darker side to today's announcement," he said.
"They've inconsiderately stolen the thunder of every other New Zealander who was planning to tell the nation that they too were pregnant today, like me."
Later in the show Mr Thomson did clarify that he was genuinely happy for Ms Ardern and offered his congratulations to her and her partner Clarke Gayford.
