Possible human remains in a house bus have been found following a fire near Wanaka.
Fire and Emergency NZ and police responded to the fire in the dwelling on a rural property at Domain Rd, Lake Hawea just after 11:20am on Tuesday.
Firefighters put the blaze out and located possible human remains within the dwelling however, this is yet to be confirmed by a forensic pathologist.
A scene examination will be carried out on Wednesday, police say.
