The 'Ban The Bag' petition has more than 65,000 signatures and will be presented to Conservation Minister Eugenie Sage at midday.
While many people have started to cut down on taking plastic bags home from supermarkets, when it comes to lining the rubbish bin it's harder to let go of plastic bags.
