A horrifying image has been released of a crash in the Waikato on Friday morning, which left a woman in a critical condition.
The smash was one of the first on Good Friday, after a car and truck collided at around 10am.

The image shows the car having been forced off the road, with grass tangled in its wheels. The entire right side of the vehicle has been destroyed with heavy crumpling around the car.
Both right doors were torn off by Fire and Emergency NZ in the desperate attempt to rescue the 27-year-old woman trapped inside.
She's since been flown to Waikato hospital and is in a critical condition, a statement from the Philips Search and Rescue Trust said.
There have been a number of crashes throughout the day as the Easter holiday period begins.
One person was killed in a crash in Bay of Plenty just before 11am, the first fatality of the weekend.
