Police have located a body in the Coromandel bush during the search for missing 37-year-old Shannon Earle Makowharemahihi.
The body was found on the Castle Rock Track on Saturday afternoon.
Mr Makowharemahihi, from Coromandel, was last seen on June 1. He was known to be very spiritual, and would often go into the bush to meditate.
Police are working to remove the body from the track so a formal identification process can take place.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
