A fire investigator has been sent to South Auckland to work out what sparked a barn blaze in the early hours of the morning.
Crews were called to Mullins Rd in Ardmore just before 6:00 on Thursday morning.
A corrugated iron shed on the property has been completely destroyed in the blaze.
Around 13 appliances, including an assistant area commander, were called in to tackle the fire.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand refused to comment on whether the fire was suspicious.
