State Highway 1 has been reduced to one lane in Porirua, Wellington after a bus caught fire.
Emergency services were notified about the fire at 10:40am on Saturday. Fire and Emergency New Zealand is attending the blaze and police are working to resolve the closure as quickly as possible.
The passengers have been removed from the bus and are uninjured.
Motorists are asked to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
