A body has been recovered during the search for a swimmer at Whangarei Falls.
The Police Dive Squad found the body on Saturday after searching for that of a swimmer who went under the water and failed to resurface on Friday afternoon.
The falls have been blessed and reopened to the public.
Police and Victim Support are working with the victim's family.
A scene guard was in place overnight.
