A body found in a Porirua stream on Saturday is not being treated as suspicious
Police were called to Bothamley Park at around 7:55am on Saturday. The body was discovered near Cannons Creek.
A police spokesperson initially said the death was being treated as unexplained, but police later confirmed it wasn't suspicious.
Champion Street was closed between Mepham Pl and Windley St, and cordons were put in place in parts of Bothamley Park.
The body has been removed from the scene and the cordons have been lifted.
The death is referred to the Coroner.
