Three people have been injured - two seriously - after an explosion at a house in Invercargill.
Emergency services were called to the Rothesay Pl property at about 1:30pm.
Two people have been taken to Southland Hospital with serious injuries, while another was treated at the scene by St John.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson told Newshub two crews were at the scene and a fire safety investigator was on the way.
It's understood the incident happened in the kitchen.
