Police have swarmed a Wellington beachfront after a sudden, unexplained death.
The changing room and toilets at Haitaitai Beach on Evans Bay Parade have been cordoned off.
Evans Bay Parade was cordoned off at the corner of Rata Rd about 11.30am on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson told Newshub the death is being treated as unexplained, and diversions are in place.
