Traffic has come to a halt along a major Auckland highway after a truck went up in flames on Wednesday afternoon.
SH1 has been forced to close northbound from Bombay off-ramp to Ramarama on-ramp.
In a video shared on Twitter by Waka Kotahi, large plumes of smoke can be seen blowing across the road.
A police spokesperson said in a statement there have been no injuries as a result of the fire.
Waka Kotahi is advising motorists of delays and to use an alternative route if possible.
