A person has died at a fitness centre in Auckland's Parnell.
Police were called to reports of a person unresponsive at Next Gen gym about 11am on Tuesday.
"Despite efforts from first responders, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson told Newshub.
"Police will be making enquiries on behalf of the Coroner."
Hato Hone St John responded with one ambulance, one manager, and two rapid response vehicles.
Newshub has contacted Next Gen who confirmed the death but were not in a position to comment further at this stage.
A NZ Herald reporter at the scene said they saw a gymgoer being given CPR by a member of the public. She claimed no lifeguards stepped in to help or were monitoring the area.
