A New Zealand MP has refused to cooperate with her parliament in congratulating President-elect Donald Trump.
Green party co-leader, Metiria Turei, along with her entire party voted against a motion introduced by the Government to send congratulations to the new American President.
"No I will not support this motion to congratulate Trump and neither will the Green party," Ms Turei said.
Ms Turei said Wednesday's result had set a fire in the belly of her party - motivation to tackle the issues they believe in.
"We vow to fight the climate change denial, the misogyny, the racism represented by Trump."
And her final words for Trump?
"We will not let hate triumph."
